Academics
At Messmer, we hold our students to high academic standards because we believe in their potential to achieve great things. Our rigorous curriculum and intentional course progression challenge students to take ownership of their learning and actively engage in their success. Messmer graduates “Leave Ready" — prepared for college, the trades, a career, or wherever their next step leads.
High Expectations
To stay in good standing, students must meet the following expectations:
- 95% attendance (No more than 8 absences per year)
- 2.0 Grade Point Average (Students must maintain a 2.0 GPA)
- 4 Detention Max (Students must not receive more than 2 detentions per semester)

Graduation Requirements
To graduate from Messmer High School, students must earn a minimum of 25 credits and successfully complete all of the required courses listed below.
- English (4 credits)
- Theology (4 credits and annual retreat participation)
- Mathematics (3 credits, including Math 1, 2, and 3)
- Social Studies (3 credits, including Principles of Social Studies, U.S. History, and American Government)
- Science (3 credits, including Biology and Chemistry)
- Physical Education (1.5 credits)
- Financial Literacy (.5 credit)
- Health (.5 credit)
- Digital Literacy (.5 credit)
- Fine Arts (1 credit)
- Electives (4 credits)
- Senior Exhibition
- WI State Civics Test
