Honors Program

The Honors Program at Messmer High School is designed for students ready to challenge themselves academically. Honors classes encourage growth, build college-level skills, and provide opportunities to earn college credit. Participants explore subjects in greater depth, strengthen their college applications, and demonstrate commitment to their future.

Honors Program Requirements

  • Take at least 3 Honors classes each year to stay in the pathway

  • Earn 12 Honors credits to graduate with “HONORS” and a gold cord

  • Dual Enrollment courses with a C or higher count toward Honors credit

  • Maintain a C or higher in each class to keep Honors status

  • 3.2 GPA in 9th grade required for program eligibility
